War Poems by Paul McGann/Regine Chandler

Released in April 1999, this recording of War Poetry is indicative of Paul's innate ability to grab the listener's attention (even sight unseen!).

The poems range from the Napoleonic Era - Robert Southey's 'The Battle of Blenheim' - right through the ages, including such greats as Rupert Brooke, Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon.

The poetry speaks for itself, but hearing Paul read it truly brings it to life - such a depth of emotion and an understanding of the truth of war he seems to have. I can honestly say that I don't think anyone could have bettered Paul in the reading of these poems.

He is assisted in the readings by Regine Chandler.
