Casualty ~ aired 9th December 2006

Joe played the part of Martin in Casualty, screened on 9th December 2006.

Martin, father of a disabled 19 yar old, was injured whilst rescuing his daughter from a fire in his office. On admission to hospital he is given routine tests, where it is discovered he has a blood disorder and after questioning the staff realise this is serious - he has been contaminated by radiation from some metal he has been handling.

Although the hospital is closed to contain the contamination, his selfish daughter is extremely self-absorbed and takes a while to realise the seriousness of the situation.

Joe was excellent in this episode. His stunts were all his own work and he did it so well - being blown up and thrown from a burning building suffering radiation burns, yet still being concerned for his daughter - even when he has been told he possibly has only weeks to live.

Joe was very enthusiastic about this work during filming - real 'action man' stuff - and thoroughly enjoyed it. The result was worth the wait!
